Launching Soon

A lot can happen in a week, and this week was a perfect testament to that.

It has obviously been a tough year for all of us, and for me, it has been even more challenging on an emotional level.

I cannot change that, and if I'll be really honest, that part of my life is still a mess.

However, I have decided not to dwell on these things that I can't do anything about and move on with as little baggage as possible.

That includes cutting off people I should have cut off a long time ago and not letting my personal issues get in the way of the things that I want to do.

This leads me to my next point - I'll open my online shop in a few weeks. I've done something similar in the past, but this time it will be more organized and decidedly more serious.

This was actually not the original plan because I was supposed to do this with my mom and open an actual store. However, she is still undecided if she wants to take on the challenge.

While it would have been nice to do this together with her, I cannot fault her for having second thoughts. This is why I decided to take on the challenge myself and just do it online first.

If it takes off, that'll be awesome. If it doesn't, I'll charge that to experience.

I'm still in the process of ironing everything out, so I can't say anything more about it other than the fact that this is related to my interest. I mean, hey, if all goes to hell, at least I can say I enjoyed what I was doing, right?

Moving on to other life updates, it's just two days before Christmas now. Things are understandably not as festive as in the previous years. However, I'm still thankful that everything is manageable at this point.

I have been trying my hand at baking these past few weeks, and I'm starting to accept that this is not for me. LOL.

I don't even know where to start with this, but just to give everyone an idea, let's just say that I manage to bake something edible enough at least once out of every three attempts.

Yep, I am that bad at baking, so just a heads up to those who could see my stories - don't fall for the pictures. LOL. Even non-edible ones can look pretty with the right lighting and angle.

Aside from baking, I have also started doing some journaling on the sides. This is admittedly more in line with what I love to do, and I'm always happy to be doing this.

I need to up my journaling game, though, because I'm still on noob level right now, and that's embarrassing.

For other life updates, there's not much. I'm eating more vegetables now because we live in the province and there's no excuse not to do that.

I'm also in the process of trying to lose weight, so I need to overhaul my diet ASAP and actually start exercising seriously. That also means I need to ditch RED BULL, which I'm really hooked on since forever (it tastes so good! haha).

There's not much to report about my dating life, other than I'll probably gonna stay away from relationships for now.

My brother is still dealing with his gout and couldn't walk. We had to take him to the doctor the other day, and it looks like he needs to make some pretty drastic lifestyle changes if he wants to get better.

That's it for now. Happy holidays and hope everyone's wishes come true this Christmas.
