Singapore Nights Out, Michelin Eats & Zoo Day Feels (Part 2)

I’ve always been down to party and go clubbing, but somehow never really threw myself into the scene back home, mostly thanks to the lame excuses I’ve convinced myself of over the years. 😆
But when I landed in Singapore, with zero itinerary and a “let’s do whatever” mindset, that all changed. My cousin and I went club hopping almost every night and danced our brains out. 🥳
One thing I absolutely love about Singapore? We never had to worry about getting mugged or being hassled by shady people, even when heading home super late. The only actual problem was how expensive taxis were after midnight.
My cousin’s place was pretty far from the nightlife hub in Clarke Quay, so that extra 50% night surcharge was a rude surprise, watching our SG$24 fare jump to SG$36. LOL.
But hey, the clubs themselves were totally worth it. Since I was only there for a week, I thought: why the hell not go all in?
Most clubs around Clarke Quay charged about SG$25 for entrance (which included a drink). Beyond that, expect to shell out SG$10+ per drink. Pricey? Sure. But for the experience, totally fair game.
One of my favorite nights was at 1-Altitude in One Raffles Place — a swanky club perched on the 63rd floor with stunning 360-degree views of Singapore’s glittering skyline. The entrance fee was SG$35, but completely worth it for that view alone.
Tip: Wednesdays are ladies’ night, which means free entrance for the girls plus a menu of SG$10 drinks. Just be ready -- the dress code is strict.
Holland Village & the Pint That Won Me Over
On the only night we skipped the club circuit, my cousin took me to Holland Village, a chill area known for its bars and eateries.
It was my first time there and also the first time I truly enjoyed a pint of beer at Starker Fresh Beer. Pretty sure my eyes went cartoon-heart emoji. 🍺
Chinatown Adventures & Michelin-Star Soya Sauce Chicken
By Friday, I didn’t have any bright ideas on where to go next, so I picked the most interesting spot on the map: Chinatown.
Every time I’m in Singapore (this was my third trip!), I never miss a stop here. It’s a sensory overload in the best way -- souvenirs, street eats, and so many random things to explore.
I also wanted to finally try Hawker Chan, the first hawker stall ever awarded a Michelin star, famous for its soya sauce chicken. The place is hard to miss because it's always bustling with locals and tourists queuing up.
And get this: their signature Michelin-starred dish was only SG$3. Like, whuuut. 😭 No complaints there at all.

A Zoo Day That Wasn't Quite as Magical
On my second to the last day, I decided to revisit the Singapore Zoo. I remember being totally awestruck on my first visit about four years ago.
This time, I was still impressed by how well-kept the animals were and how beautiful the grounds looked compared to other zoos I’ve been to, but I guess some of that first-time magic was gone.
Still, if you’ve never been, it’s a top-tier spot that’s perfect for families or anyone wanting to chill with wildlife for half a day.
🎟️ Entrance: SG$35 for adults. They also offer bundles if you want to check out the Night Safari, River Safari, and more.
Ending My Trip with Cheap Ramen & a Mild Panic
Sunday rolled around, which was my last day in Singapore. My only plan? Eat at the hawker center beside my cousin’s condo. Their ramen was next-level bomb, and basically all the food there was ridiculously good and hella cheap.
But since I couldn’t just spend the entire day eating (even though tempting), I thought I’d hit the nearest mall for a bit more shopping. Probably not the best idea because I almost forgot I had a flight at 6 p.m. (LOL). But hey, everything worked out fine.
Pro Tip Before You Fly ✈️
If you’re leaving from Singapore, go to the airport early and enjoy it. Changi’s airport amenities are next-level — seriously, their public spaces never disappoint.
A Few More Photo Bits (Because I’m Too Lazy to Write About Everything 😂)
And that, earthlings, pretty much sums up my Singapore vacay.
Swipe through the pics below for all the other random moments I couldn’t be bothered to write about. 😙
P.S.
Yeah, I know this trip recap turned into an almost-chronological diary instead of some fancy travel piece with an “angle.” But I’m running on zero sleep, so this is all my brain’s capable of right now. Bear with me. 😆
P.S.S.
Shout out to my cousin for making everything awesome, as always. Also - what the hell is a jujubi? LOL.
